Faculty Mission

The Faculty of Social Work, Helwan University, seeks to prepare graduates capable of competing locally and regionally at all educational levels. This is achieved through a smart educational and research environment that adheres to quality standards and embraces modern trends in education, practice, and community service, in line with the latest developments in digital transformation. It also focuses on partnering with diverse local, regional, and international scientific and research bodies to produce advanced knowledge and develop methods for dealing with diverse human entities.

Strategic Goals

First Strategic Objective: Achieving Leadership in Smart Education and Teaching for Social Work

1. Continuously updating curricula and programs in line with the latest local and international developments.

2. Developing teaching and learning methods based on the latest educational and teaching technology.

3. Developing student evaluation systems.

4. Periodically updating teaching and learning strategies in light of the digital transformation.

5. Activating the electronic system for academic conceling and student support.

6. Developing educational programs that attract students and meet the needs of the labor market.

1. Update the faculty's scientific research databases and relevant community stakeholders.

2. Develop the faculty's scientific journals and include them in global databases.

3. E-market scientific research and educational programs.

4. Encourage international publication by the faculty's faculty members and their assistants.

5. Form research teams in partnership with other disciplines (interdisciplinary studies).

Second Strategic Goal: Increase the faculty's Competitiveness in Scientific Research and Knowledge Production

Third Strategic Goal: Excellence in Community Service and Environmental Development

1. Expanding the scope of memorandum of understanding with relevant entities and institutions.

2. Strengthening communication channels with faculty alumni and companies.

3. Enhancing partnerships between the faculty and community institutions.

4. Anticipating mechanisms for dealing with community crises and disasters.

5. Contributing to the development of the community surrounding the university.

6. Developing units specific to the faculty and linking them to community needs.

7. Linking knowledge applications and scientific research results with the services provided to the community
