Message from the Director of the Expatriate Students Unit

The student is the focus of the educational process, its fruit and the purpose of its existence, and its preparation to face life and its challenges in the present and the future is the primary goal that the Social Work Faculty - Helwan University seeks, and from that the college works to prepare a graduate equipped with theoretical knowledge, practical experiences and positive behaviors, and has the ability to use them in building himself and developing his community by providing high -quality education in accordance with international standards and developing the level of academic services provided For students, improving and developing academic programs in line with the need of the labor market, as well as adopting the philosophy of self -learning in solving problems and learning for life.

The college also seeks in its mission according to its strategic plan to prepare distinguished competencies with giving and creativity in the various fields of specialization and enriching innovative scientific research supported by graduate studies programs and contributing to community service, and building distinguished community partnerships, taking into account the comprehensive quality system and achieving academic accreditation, in addition to encouraging distinguished competencies of faculty and students to contribute to the knowledge industry, which ensures graduation Trainer cadres are able to innovate and achieve leadership in their fields of specializations and leadership of their societies.

Our college is distinguished by its highly efficient teaching staff that works in the spirit of the team and the most important characteristic of this team is the spirit of harmony, love and cooperation, as it works very and dedicated to help students and encourage them to dialogue and openness to different cultures to upgrade a university educational level that is reflected in their professional performance in their workplace. Vision of the Unit

"The Unit of Expatriate Students seeks to follow up and attract expatriate students, as well as support for expatriate students in accordance with international quality standards in universities."

Mission of the Unit

  • Supporting the image of Helwan University at the Arab and International level as an Egyptian university of a unique nature and increased its competitiveness at the regional and international levels.
  • Increase the attractions that the university enjoys by providing various services to students coming at the Faculty of Social Work, who after their graduation will become ambassadors to the university in their country.
  • Helping the college students to adapt to life in the university community in general, the college is in particular, and the integration into university life, which enriches the student entity at the university.

Objectives of the Unit

  • Creating a healthy climate among students arriving at the college to adapt and harmony within the Egyptian culture.
  • Acceptance of requests and grievances of arrivals students, with consideration of requests and complaints submitted by expatriate students and presenting them to the competent authorities.
  • Providing psychological and moral support for expatriate students
  • Conducting periodic meetings with students to meet their needs.
  • A episode arrived between students and university administration.
  • Providing admission consultations and registration procedures in the college.
  • Providing support and academic guidance.

Tasks of the expatriate students unit

  • Support the college image and the image of Helwan University as an educational and research institution approved in accordance with international quality standards. 2) Providing information on all school programs within the college.
  •  Facilitating and following up the registration, registration and graduation procedures for students within the college.
  • Providing full care for students in the college.
  • Helping in solving academic problems, residency, and others inside and outside the college, by referring to the guidelines of the university’s administration management.
  • Creating periodic meetings for expatriate students to discuss their problems.
  • Follow -up of scientific departments in the care of expatriate students.
  • Establishing social meetings for students coming to increase psychological and social support for them.
  • A periodic meeting was held for students who are coming to identify their academic progress, as well as identify any problems that may affect their educational career.
  • Establishing a database for expatriate students registered in the college.
  • Receiving any proposals for expatriate students.
  • Spreading a culture of the importance of caring for expatriate students.
