Vice-Deanship for Community Service and Environmental Development
Vice-Dean’s Message

In light of the vision and mission of the college—and in accordance with the strategic plan of the university—the Vice-Deanship for Community Service and Environmental Development endeavors to achieve excellence in the fields of community engagement and environmental development. This is pursued through meaningful community participation, which represents one of the core pillars of institutional capacity at the Faculty of Social Work. Through this, the college is able to serve both its internal and external communities.
The internal community service of the college encompasses a range of activities directed toward faculty members, the supporting academic staff, students, and administrative personnel. These activities include a variety of programs such as:
- Specialized seminars
- Expert workshops
- Student training courses
- Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment
- Safeguarding the college’s infrastructure
The Vice-Deanship also supports ongoing communication with alumni, offering them continuous training opportunities and assistance in securing employment.
As for the college’s external community service, this is achieved through active collaboration with civil society institutions. It includes the expansion of memorandums of understanding with those institutions, as well as their participation in events organized by the Vice-Deanship. These events include:
- Programs designed to equip students and graduates with labor market skills
- Joint applied research projects
- Collaborative workshops
This cooperation is extended through the services and activities of the college’s specialized centers and units, which include the following seven (7) key entities:
(Leadership Research and Training Center - Social Therapy Center - Volunteering Center - Complaints Unit - Alumni Unit - Excellence and Project Management Unit - Crisis and Disaster Management Unit)
In conclusion, I extend a sincere invitation to all segments of society—including civil society organizations, my esteemed colleagues among the faculty and support staff, and my dear students—to engage effectively and actively in the programs and activities offered by the Vice-Deanship for Community Service and Environmental Development, so that we may together achieve the advancement and distinction we all aspire to for our beloved college.
And may God grant us success.
