Speech by the Director of the Excellence and Project Management Unit

Excellence is the fruit of a long journey of patience, effort, and perseverance. Since its establishment, the Faculty of Social Work has undertaken the responsibility of building and developing the profession, contributing to the formation of social work faculties and institutes in Egypt and the Arab world. It has been a pioneer in the field, maintaining this esteemed position by achieving quality accreditation for two consecutive terms. Yet, its persistent journey refuses to end, always striving for excellence and perfection.

Therefore, the decision was made to evolve the Projects Unit into the Excellence and Project Management Unit, with a focus on enhancing the faculty’s standing through two key pillars:

1.     Participating in Egypt’s Government Excellence Award.

2.     Formulating and submitting funded projects for the faculty’s development.

Vision of the Unit

We aspire to lead in managing innovative projects, achieving the faculty’s goals efficiently and effectively, and promoting institutional excellence.

Mission of the Unit

The Excellence and Project Management Unit seeks to qualify the Faculty of Social Work at Helwan University to achieve institutional excellence and enhance its leadership and competitiveness by actively contributing to meeting the standards of Egypt’s Government Excellence Award.

Objectives of the Unit

The unit aims to achieve the following objectives:

  1. Promoting a culture of excellencewithin the faculty community.
  2. Activating institutional government excellence standards and requirements.
  3. Adopting innovative ideasthat contribute to the faculty’s distinction.
  4. Drafting and monitoringthe implementation of faculty projects.
  5. Optimizing the use of human and material resourceswithin the faculty community.
  6. Implementing programs and initiativesthat support Egypt’s Vision 2030.
